Anu Muiste’s exhibition “Sassumus”/“Tangledness”

Anu Muiste’s personal exhibition “Sassumus” was opened for the public at the beginning of June at Põhjala factory’s forge hall. It is open for guests until the end of June.

All tangled thoughts of the last year and a half have finally been forged into meaningful “Sassumus”. The idea for the exhibition was born in the summer of 2020 during the Estonian Artist Association art residency in Muhu island, where the artist dove into the relationship between human and nature. Being alone, away from the ordinary routine, making it easier for the artist to detangle her thoughts and find value in everything important. “Sassumus” is the further development of the works created at Muhu art residence and her earlier exhibition “10 Things”.

“I look into the wide-open cupboard, gazing at the protruding pair of trouser legs and the torsional blouse sleeves, which remind me of the mess inside my head.”
